Server mess has been much more sitting on my hands than actual work I can do. Our tech-partner Otto is in South Asia for a few months doing humanitarian work, stuck there trying to oversee a complete server rebuild in Europe. I'm in neither region, obviously; by the time I get any message, its another day before the reply will be read...
It also comes down to a bit o' that prejudice IT folks have toward the rest of us... Nobody wants to give me full access back-stage, for fear I will complicate the rebuilding process by mucking about. (After 12 years of this, I think I'm past the accidentally-deleting-critical-files stage, but alas...)
