FETSnews 2010 Olympic Woman's Figure Skating Final Results

Yu-Na Kim gave what they are calling one of the best performances in the history of the sport, and set a new Olympic record score to be remembered by. Mao Asada can and did deliver triples that no one else in the competition could attempt, so her silver was pretty deserved. Joannie Rochette won bronze setting a record for grace under duress-- that story is just crazy. I thought Finland's Laura Lepisto (above photo) was just fantastic but nowhere near enough room on the podium to recognize her (not with all those hollow-boned 19-year-olds!)

The real story of the Olympics-- the one that leads to every other major story from the Hockey to Joannie's to Canada's unprecidented Gold totals-- is what the hell happened to the entire Russian Olympics program? I thought they lived for these obscure snowy hobbies?

The field was very deep, and Kim Yu-Na set a record that will stand for many years. It was an amazing skate. I thought the Free Skate for Platt deserved more, maybe enough for 4th place.

Ah well doesn't matter now, the 3 medal winners are all deserving.
